11. Charity : Action Against Stalking

In this episode, Karen Fullerton-Chalmers, the Prevention and Community Engagement Manager at Action Against Stalking, discusses the history, mission, and services of the charity. Founded in 2014 by stalking survivor Ann Moulds, the charity aims to raise awareness, provide training, and support victims through various methods, including a CBT therapist. Karen elaborates on the importance of using an empowerment model, recognising different stalking behaviors, and implementing anti-stalking policies in workplaces. She also touches on the challenges of addressing both physical and cyber stalking, the role of technology, and the importance of maintaining evidence. Karen encourages organisations to prioritise safety, keep open lines of communication, and utilise resources such as the Hollie Guard app for personal security.
