This is only one of two episodes I support on patreon. After listening to a lot of back episodes over a couple weeks, I decided to give black label a try. The podcasts are well researched, and doesn’t veer away from facts just because they are horrible. He understands that we can’t hide the darkness, even if it upsets us. The victims deserve better.

Excellent Podcast

Excellent podcast! The creator speaks with empathy and is always very respectful of the victims and their stories. It’s refreshing to see a podcast that isn’t just doing it for the money or shock value. There are a lot of males in the podcast true crime world that aren’t empathetic and routinely degrade women. This guy isn’t one of them. One episode and you’ll be hooked!

IGNORE THE 1 STAR REVIEWS, THEY’RE BOTS!!

This podcast is great. Ignore the 500 1-star reviews that have popped up in droves over the last week, they are spearheaded by manbaby and sad bully Mike Boudet of Sword and Scale (google him) and are bots/people he’s paying to try to take down smaller podcasts. It’s sad how people with a larger audience try to take down podcasts on the rise. You’d be making a mistake to NOT listen to Justin and Obscura!

Don’t miss—excellent!

Obscura is excellent. Despite the host running afoul of the biggest narcissist in the podcast world, (cough Bidet cough) don’t let the sudden surge in 1-star bot reviews deter you—this is everything a true crime pod should be!

Ignore the 1 star’s left by bots

This podcast is great! It says a lot that a rival, childish podcast had to buy some sort of bots to leave 1 star reviews...insecure much? Let the work speak for itself instead of playing dirty! I love the content covered and it’s well researched! Keep up the good work!

You don’t want to miss this one!!!

Obscura is one of my favorite podcasts. Justin’s voice is soothing and the audio effects work well the way he does them. I can’t listen to some podcasts because of the voices. Regarding content, the stories are excellently written, well chosen and include great details that keep you hooked. You can also subscribe separately for Black Label episodes which are worth it! High Five to Justin and all of your helpers...if you have any....

Great Technical True Crime Podcast Without the Lame Frosting

Obscura is a very well researched and neutral podcast that details the crimes and horrors with just the facts. No unnecessary BS. Justin narrates the tales with a creepy monotone droll. Creepy in the awesomest of ways. My newest binge!!

Obscura is amazing

One if my favorite true crime podcasts. Justin’s smooth even voice makes it that much better. I love that show doesn’t drag on endlessly and doesn’t stop and start like some other pods have a tendency to do. Keep it up ❤️

Great choices of subject matter

Keeps getting better!

I’ve been subscribed to Obscura since last August and have enjoyed it more and more as it continues. The early episodes have fascinating content but the narrator is obviously trying to find his voice. Happily, he’s settled into a solid, steady style that flows well with the content. He covers a mix of well known and more ‘obscure’ topics, with some fascinating sound bites. Well done podcast that has really grown into its own. I look forward to every new episode.

Interesting

This show does a good job researching and telling stories. Episodes sometime include things such as 911 tapes or trial recordings, but the episodes I have listened to so far have stayed respectful of the victims, which I really appreciate. Great work for a one-man show!

Love ya but...

Listening to E03 and you are going thru all the “girlfriends “ “women” in his life so fast I can’t keep up with the names. Not sure anyone else is having this problem, but I’m having to hit the back button just to keep up! But other then that I love everything about this podcast!
